I'm running my first Half on the 4th June & was wondering what you guys make of my training building up to it? Training on and off from Jan-Feb due to injury/illness through winter. Prs are 15:38 5K & 31:53 10K from last year (nowhere near that sort of shape this year).
#1: 53 miles; 12 x 500m (1min jog) (avg. 1:35); 10 x 1K (1min jog)(avg. 3:26); 13 miles long
#2: 20 miles; 3 days off injured; 6 x 3min (2min jog) (avg. 5:17/mi).
#3: 44 miles; 5.3 mile relay leg (28:37)
#4: 44 miles; 12K alternating each K (avg. 3:20/3:58); 14 miles long
#5: 44 miles; 4 x 1K (90sec jog) + 4 x 200m (200m jog) (avg. 3:20/36); 10K race (33:07)
#6: 59 miles; 4 miles Tempo (22:12, 5:33/mi); 3 mile - 1.5 mile - 3 mile (4min - 2min jog) (16:42, 8:00, 16:32); 15.4 miles long
#7: 49 miles; 2 mile - 3 mile - 2 mile (3min - 4 min jog) (11:09, 16:38, 10:58); 15.6 miles long
#8: 39 miles; small injury; 8 x 3min (2min jog) (avg. 5:18/mi)
#9: 66 miles; 2 x 3 miles (4min jog) (16:41, 16:41); 16 miles long
#10: 57 miles; 5.2 mile race (27:15); 8 miles in 46:56; 14.8 miles long
#11: 44 miles; 2/4/6/6/4/2min (2min-1:30-1min jog) (avg 5:20-5:35/mi); 10K track race (33:16.31); 12.4 miles long
#12: 2 days off recovering from track race; plan to do some 10K pace work
General mileage around 7-7:30 pace, sometimes down to 8 depending on how I felt on the day.
