Middle distance guy here. Only have indoor and outdoor track left to run. 800/1500 runner that probably leans more towards the 1500 but way better at 800 than 5k. Averaged just under 65mpw for the entire season but had multiple weeks at 70miles. Also didn't do a ton of speed work until the last few weeks of the season this past year.
So my question here is if I only have 1 season left of indoor and outdoor track left how should I train differently this summer and fall since I don't have to run cross country? More weights, and speed work? Lets assume for this that I want to run as fast as I can next season and then retire as a runner
