Hi
I have a tibia stress fracture from increasing my mileage too quickly when training for the London Marathon. I ended up not running it and my GF took my place. I have been prescribed 8-12wks in a AirCast. My question is do I have to wear the AirCast while sitting down. It feels as if there's not as much blood flow compared to my other leg and I know that blood flow is important. I thought the primary reason to wear the AirCast was to relieve pressure from the tibia if I am correct, so wearing it while sitting down at the desk all day at work seems a bit useless and may hinder recovery by limiting blood flow. Am I correct here? Also, I've read on forums here that people generally wear an AirCast for 4-8wks, so 12wks seems excessive. Is that true?
Thanks
