What do you say to people you are recruiting for the xc team? How do you get them to run over the summer.
For example: an 800 runner in track who did football. Is about 5' 11" and 130 lbs- he should be doing xc not football. Also in the last 3 seasons our football team has won 1 game out of 30.
Or a kid who does marching band, but whose dad is pretty fast over 5k.
Soccer players. (It's a spring sport here)
Almost no one seems interested in xc in my school and I just want our team to be bigger- last year we had 12 people and we just missed states as a team in a region where some schools have 50-100 kids on their roster. I'll be our top runner and right now I don't even know how we're going to fill out a quality top 5.
