Is that cat related to Fred Brown of the North Medford Club?
I saw Lynn Jennings pop a corker there many moons ago, she must have girls record.
When there were not enough finishers to put in the Boston Globe the next day, Fred often used the name of his cats to make up at least 5 finishers in each race.
11:45 sounds definitely too slow, but I don't know the records.
The course is currently messed up with construction just past the start and will be for a while - months maybe.
11:08 Jon Richards UK
23:?? Charlie Spedding UK
12:07 or 12:15 ? Lynn Jennings
No woman to date has finished the two loop 5 mile event.

Although there is currently construction being done, the Fresh Pond Race will still be run every Saturday (on an altered course). I hope people still decide to show up! Might be fun to shoot for the "new" course record.
Do they still use popsicle sticks? It has been 16 years since I lived in town and ran it. Great to still have places to just show up and get your ass kicked without all the $55 5K entry/t-shirt/medal/selfie hassle.

Yes, popsicle sticks are still used. Brings me back to my high school XC days.
Jennings must've been waylon to run 12:07 for 2.5 miles.

Amen! The way racing used to be. Before all the b.s.
I saw her run I think a 12:20 something there nearly 25 years ago, out-kicking a pretty good male runner
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
