Pretty disappointed that Vernon only ran 28:21, yet had the energy to high five people for most of the last lap. Should have used that energy to run 40 seconds faster, which he probably could have done. I thought he'd at least go under 28.

He just needed the win. He sat in for about 8k. Then he dropped like a 63 and a few more fast laps to tear them apart. Be interested to see his splits.
It's much better that he targets a fast 10k somewhere in Europe to get that 27:45 qualifying standard and just made sure he got the top 2 spot safely last night. Plus he's UK 10k champion of course. Good days work.
I ran tonight, got a pb but went off too quick in the first race.
This event is brilliant, had people shouting my name at a minimum of 100m intervals around the track.
Its set up to get pbs but boy that wind was strong down the home straight!
She's been NB...now switched to Triathlon and maybe signed for Asics? She's used to the NB spikes so probably she didn't want to risk it using brand new asics spikes. 😎

Pavey ran 30.53 in 2012 - so not a PB.
Apologies for the glitch in the software. Since it's the "Night of the PBs", we tried to look them up (automatically) for a few hundred entries, but something went wrong and it fell back to her "recent best" from the entry form. Next time we'll use some human common sense on the elite races.
We hope you all the appreciated the speedy results. It was an awesome event.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
