future olympian right there
Brings the question: best same-day double ever for 800/1600? We know German has the 3200/1600.
This thread is going too many directions. Is this the same kid that came back from having cancer?
Great run by Sam. Only had a 3 hour break after the 800
Sam the man, one bell of a double dude.
Did he ever get that date with Nevada Moreno?
Broad shoulders, very long arms, big hands.
Cross, 1600, and 800. It's the 8 that most distance runners can't swing.
Not yet an Alan Webb talent but comes into freshman year with a lot less baggage than Webb carried in freshman year.
That was someone else
We'll see how he's running 4 years from now, 8 years from now.
I'm seeing this guy running world class times eventually. That's how much talent he has
Where is he going?
I'm biased, but I would still go with Austin Mudd back in 2011. He went 4:03.00 with an absolutely ridiculous final 200m and then ran 1:49.25 out of the slow heat (mostly solo too). Both were state meet records in Indiana. The 1600 started at 6:35. 800 started at 7:45. Not to mention, he also split 47.xx for the 4x4 that day too.

While those races are great (and on youtube), I do think it's a little biased. Mudd's times were both slower than Worley's; he just happened to have really good kicks. And Mudd was absurdly talented. Future is bright for Worley if he stays healthy.
That was a good one. I'd probably still go with Worley given that both his times are faster, the 800 significantly so.
What ever happened to Austin Mudd?
Achilles issues after two good years at Wisconsin (including a couple All-American performances). Retired with some disappointment.
Not a US #1 in 1600 as reported though.
Gotta give Worley extra props for going for it in the 800, while knowing he would be up against Brown a short time later.
its finn gessner that was hitting on nevada
