I am currently nearing the end of a great cycle. I have nailed every workout, feel great, am at the perfect weight, blah, blah, blah.
I fully expect to lower my marathon PR from 2:39 to the 2:30-2:32 range. I am so excited about my training that I am already thinking about my NEXT marathon.
My mileage is relatively low (70-82 mpw every week so far in 2017). I want to increase the mileage drastically and MAYBE chase the Trials (1 in a million shot, I know), but I am happy with the length of my workouts and the length of my long runs. Honestly, I really really like my entire training plan.
Anyways, I currently do everything in singles. Could I simply add 5-7 easy 45 minute runs every week (while keeping everything else the same) and see significant improvement? This would get me into the 120+ range. I could easily swing that if I wanted to. I just don't know if it would be worth it. Thoughts?
