Looks like the boys and girls from Flagstaff have given up even trying to make the world team for London.
Did they loose their Hoka funding?

They're just being realistic.
After Nike groups and a couple individual Nike athletes take all the spots, other groups can't compete. They don't have the quality of athlete out of college and they don't have the experience of even coaching athletes that can get the World/Olympic marks!
Ultimately, how many IAAF standards have any of these coaches coached during their "careers"?
NAZ ELITE
NORCAL (beside Kim)
FURMAN ELITE
ZAP FITNESS
No idea why there aren't big marathon/road racing groups that are succeeding and racing a lot like the guys in the 70s and 80s were.
Some of these groups with funding and a decent group that have guys with some potential like Zap and Furman and NAZ, and some I'm forgetting seem to be dabbling in next to nothing -- they might hop in the OT Marathon Trials and 10K and some Halfs and other small road races, but there's no identity created and nothing like some of the 70s guys like the Florida Track Club and Bowerman's group had. Why aren't these guys all running big city marathons with each other and running track races in-between? I'm baffled about how they're making money and helping their sponsors.
Knowing that Hoka will be pulling out of all sponsorship over the next couple years may have some influence on how they do business.
Although talking with some of the athletes they may not even be aware that it is coming
Rosario is a go getter and he will probably find someone to pick them up.
NAZ takes more breaks than babies take naps. Hence the lack of progression.
Not that over-racing is good, but likely Rosario gets a pay check and still wants to take traditional holidays.
Might work for a middle school team.
Remember, Salazar never takes a break. Always looking for something legal to inject into the veins of his athletes.

Is there some news I missed?

None of them are attempting to be competitive on the track.

Smart move. They would have been exposed on the track.
If not track then what is Kanuho going to do?

True. They do alright on the roads, though. Very few of their athletes drop down to track distance, very similar in their approach to Hanson's.
Just trying to long-term develop competitive marathoners?
Hold on there Nelly!
Some of the boys (Futs, Lutz and Herher) are entered into the (former Hoka) Oxy USATF Distance Whatever They Are Calling It Now Meet.
5k, here we come!

Are you referring to the possible sale of their parent owner, Deckers?
Any of these guys run the 25K champs?
He is, his post is in reference to a post I made that was deleted for some reason. Hoka is losing money and will need to show a profit if Deckers has any hope of selling. Their other brands are not doing well. Not to mention their former CEO who had a running background is no longer with the company.
Bruan ran the 25k champs.
All is well with NAZ "Elite"
Just signed 2016's best NCAA 10k guy.
You don't sign when you are closing up shop.
Hoka will rock the Hoka meet tomorrow!
Go guys with big shoes!
So... yeah... Go NAZ Elite?
