Hi Folks, I’m planning to run my 8th marathon in a few weeks in Duluth. My PR is 4:08, but I really think I can break the elusive 4 hour barrier this time around. My question to you is…should I get a pair of the Nike Vaporfly 4% running shoes? They will be released on June 8, and the marathon is June 17 so the timing seems perfect. If my math is correct I could break 4 hours in the marathon while running the same effort as my prior PR! Is that correct? I would be willing to pay almost any amount if it would guarantee that I meet my goal. I am currently doing all of my running in the Asics Metarun. Anything I need to consider with the potential switch? Do you think it would be easier to order them online and hope they make it to my house before the race, or is it smarter to just buy them at the race expo? Thanks!
