Based upon that info alone, it sure doesn't look like you need anything with more stability than the shoe you were wearing. But there could be other factors. Based upon that, I'd start with a neutral shoe.
I don't know if it's the shoe or I'm just overtraining
I started running 3 weeks ago and everything was fine untill i ran 3km one day and 2km the next . My thighs and calves are so skinny compared to my weight 77kg .
After i self diagnosed myself using a web foot pain identifier the result came with peroneal tendonitis , i can still walk and run though but there pain like 3 on scale to 10 . I tried adidas supernova ST in the store it felt comfortable but weird coz it has high arch support it felt like walking on my arches instead of heal/forefoot.
The thread wear on my current shoes is in the middle of my forefoot
You might be fine in the Pegasus, but I always cringe when I see people in it, it just seems so narrow in the mid foot. Personally I would recommend a straighter shoe (whatever that means).
Based on that video alone i would say neutral. I dealt with foot pain and knee pain on and off for at he first 6 months or so. Ease back a bit for now and add some strength training if you can and ult already
I'm always learning the hard way and I can't believe that i was wearing the wrong shoe sizes my whole 40 years of living until i started running . I used to think that shoes are supposed to fit the exact length of my feet and i made the same mistake with running shoes at the beginning and bought a vomero in size 9.5 and asics nimbus 18 size 10 then I started reading about the rule of thumb and it turned out my correct size was 11. That piece of information cost me my whole shoes and boots collection coz i gave them all away to my nephew:( I'm gonna miss my red wings.
But honestly i feel much better in my new size and wiggle room in the toes area and definitely not going back to the dark ages of wrong sizes.
My Pegasus size is 10.5 but i feel i could still go with a half size bigger so ordered a brooks launch 4 size 11 and will start hitting the gym .
Brooks Ghost. High Arch Neutral shoe and a touch more cushioning.
Agree that your stride is neutral. Pegasus shoe or a neutral shoe should be fine.
You seem to really heal strike, especially with the left foot. You may want to find a light, flexible shoe like the Nike Free or even run barefoot or socks on grass to work on your stride. Leaning forward naturally and shorter stride will also help.
On your PT injury, don't forget the importance of stretching. Lots of info on the net. Good Luck !
Keep it varied, having a couple of different shoes in cycle that you alternate, this can be very helpful (i know it costs $$$). Also when at the gym, do try to make it more of a circuit or fitness session eg do 2 mins hard rowing, then leg extensions, then 3 mins hard on the stationary bike, then 10 mins on the treadmill, then squats etc instead of bulking up on weights which will slow your running performance. Good luck. Red wings are great boots.
I tried forefoot strides yesterday for the first time for 3km . I don't know why i never tried it before ! Maybe because I thought it's to technical to execute as a beginner but it wasn't hard at all, i also thought it would be harder than heel strikes but it felt easier and my pace was steady the whole run. Also felt more stable especially in my left foot . I used to feel pain in my left foot while running and the next day but this time I didn't feel any.
Will see how things turn out in the future .
Try neutral shoes like the Brooks Ghost, New Balance Vazee Pace or 880, You might like the Nike Vomero 12. It seems like you are a heavy striker though, so anything with whats considered premium cushionined neutral shoes should be fine. Besides the recommendations listed try On Cloud Flow or a Asics Nimbus(if you get the 19 half size up for a true to size fit since they messed up all the fits for this years generation of footwear.)
