They are at like 16 miles. Coming in, I was thinking Kipchoge needed to back off well before 150-16 if he wants to finish at a good pace. Maybe I'm wrong but I'd back off for the WR. JK thinks about 20 miles is the most anyone can handle at the this pace . 20 miles at 1:59:59 is basically equivalent ot the WR. But then if you do that the final 5 miles could be ugly.
You keep talking about this like it's a race, like there's anything relevant associated with finishing. It's pretty clear Kipchoge is going to go at 2:00 pace until he implodes.
They are all in on the 2:00 gimmick. And I don't like it, but kudos to them for sticking to their guns.
You guys have also underestimated their chances, again because you keep comparing it to a race. This is a science experiment.
