you can still see tadese there with his own pacers. if he hangs on he should at least set a huge marathon PB

Not a good night for Nike. The Olympic 5k champ Matthew Centrowitz just ran 13:48 for 5k.
And King Ches just got smokes by Justyn Knight 1317 to 1324.
They are at like 16 miles. Coming in, I was thinking Kipchoge needed to back off well before 150-16 if he wants to finish at a good pace. Maybe I'm wrong but I'd back off for the WR. JK thinks about 20 miles is the most anyone can handle at the this pace . 20 miles at 1:59:59 is basically equivalent ot the WR. But then if you do that the final 5 miles could be ugly.

25K WR is 1:11:18
30K WR is 1:27:13
So 25k WR then? Wish comms talked about that

30k ?
Kimetto's 25k record is 1:11:18 - how much was it here ? Maybe less actually.
So if 1:11:01 is correct that's BEAT !
Looks like they're wearing Hoka's.
Centro won gold in the 1500m not the 5k....Come on

Agreed. This is awesome. I don't understand why some people are being so pissy about it.
Same, and I'm normally not a big fan of straight time trials. I've really enjoyed the entire production.
Dont want soles coming unglued, or midsoles coming out.
"And Eluid, this is you in the sims!"
Nike marketing sh!tshow.
I feel like Kipchoge's form changed slightly from km 20

Looking at the slow mo of the runners footstrike is pretty interesting, not what is expect.
Bumbalo, chris derrick, and sam chelamga pacing in front of kipchoge
Whoever was asking about that little black box.. its a running dynamics pod.. I'm pretty sure.

Definitely agree. Clearly tiring, but 43 minutes to go? I give him another 5-10 minutes before he drops to 2hr pace

Yeah but it brought back memories of the solegate episode too...
59:57. Kipchoge is running tough as we expected.

Definitely; interesting to compare the difference in relaxation and form between pacers and kipchoge
Yeah I sense he's working a bit now, starting to feel it.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
