It is in fact possible to speed up in the last lap even if there is nobody to run from.

might actually help to give it some context. I am assuming Waleed Suliman from DSFHigh School in Va. Most people do not know who this young man is but yes that is an extremely impressive performance. Well done to him.
Sorry, should have clarified that his kicks in other races are reminiscent of cheserek, not sure if he kicked much in the 4:04 race
