nike dropped him bro
Abandoning Salazar in a attempt to save himself from Travis Tygart. Won't work.
Nike always drops their milers after winning an Olympic Medal.
He'll likely sign with Hoka, will start finishing DFL in a few years.

So, no more Centro Sauce? Only DFL if Salazar manages to keep the secret ingredients from little Centro?.
Drew Hunter is unattached and Sifan Hassan is labeled as "Global Sport" as well so who knows...
This comes up every year...
I think last year it was the Bowerman guys who were listed as Unattached.
Take your pick: either Nike tries to drop its best athletes each year, or maybe it is something about the way they do the entry forms listing agents instead of some of the shoe companies
Probably registration procedure. Most college meets do not allow post-collegiate teams but do allow individual registration (unattached). Some registration sites do not have a space to list club team name so the listing defaults to unattached. Yet some do but and the person keying in the data simply skips over it. Shame really that these clubs/ teams can't get a shoutout. Not sure what service Peyton Jordan uses but it doesn't appear to be DirectAthletics or CoachO.

Nike sent out an email warning that Nike may drop all Olympic Gold medalists who let themselves get lazy and pudgy after the Olympics.
For example:
1) Centro:

This is not a big surprise.
He needs to run unattached from drugs
Matt Centrowitz (Sr.) is coming out of retirement, buoyed by his book sales and his son's success

With Marcato putting Deckers on the block Hoka11 ain't signing anyone.
He ran much of last year in DC and MD training with his father. He was mostly coached by big Centro not Salazar so I figure a leave from the NOP wouldn't be unlikely in the near future.

Should Salazar get a percentage of Centro Junior's earnings, or dad? An easy decision for Centro Jr to make.
BS. He ain't going anywhere, either. He loves Oregon and rarely visits Maryland.

Are you implying he likes Salazar more than his father? Living in Oregon while being coached by his Maryland father is a non-issue, as is remaining with Nike. Believe it or not, Salazar isn't required to be Centro's coach.
Are you trying to engineer a conflict where none exists? Believe it or not, not everyone is a loser like you.

Are you trying to engineer a stay with NOP when there is no reason to?
