Hi everyone,
I am looking for an online running coach. Not sure where to go or how much they cost. Are there sites around for this or resources to find one?

Jack Daniels: Run Smart Project.
Enjoy :-)
Really?
Buy a book and save yourself a ton of $$$. Online coach is going to cost you $100 to $200+ per month and you really get a pretty generic workout plan that you could easily follow from a book.
Are you competitive or just a weekend warrior who runs a few races per year?
My advice is buy a few books do your research and with the money you save you can buy a new pair of runners every 4-6 weeks.
If you are a 10K and over runner Jack Daniels has a few great books plus you can listen to his presentations on YouTube
Hi, I am a running coach if you are still looking for one. I offer online and in person coaching. You can check out my website at www.jumpforjoyrunning.com. I offer a variety of options depending on what you are looking for in a coach and what type of training you would like. Happy Running!
Isn't his daughter the one that is over trained and always drops from races?

I've worked with Chris Vargo before, he's the man. Great plan, very responsive/available and the best thing is he's very very positive and upbeat. Always puts his runners needs first and plans weeks based on results.
I believe his wife and him now work together coaching and providing nutrition help. I would recommend him.
I would consider Bill Vanos at Brooklyn Born Running. brooklynbornrunning.com
Very Daniels based but personalized.
Coach JS should be along any minute now. He has trained many elite Kenyans! One of two of them may even be real!
and 100 out of 100 reach PRs within 2 months of his training. Unfortunately, the only ones who follow him here just end up injured.

Now he talks about 300 coached in 5 years and all improved? If this is true he must be considered as one of the great.Really an interesting coach.
I would only accept endorses from people who are willing to divulge their identity. As much as I understand why someone might want to hide their identity on this site, there is no way to be sure that coaches aren't recommending themselves, and small operations scrambling for an edge might resort to that kind of thing - nothing to lose. Ask for some confirmation of identity.

What I have found is that some people just want to be told what to do when it comes to training sessions. Most importantly a good coach can do a much better job progressing workouts.
Biggest mistake as a runner back in the day was coaching myself. I learned from my mistakes and am happy to work with a range of athletes now. From fast moms and little kids to a young man running for Princeton and a female who placed top 50 at World XC in Aarhus. I would say having a good coach pays off. Oh I charge half of what you stated from the lower end.
To the OP find a good coach and your running may take off. Good luck!
