Seeing what she did on the track, she should be able to become great on the roads. Her current best is 2:20 in 2014, but she can definitely beat that based on her performance in rio and her 1:06 prep half marathon. She is still making the transition. I say she runs a low 2:19 in london but ultimatly gets to the 2:17s if she focuses on the event.
Possibly. She ran 2:20 in her first marathon( London 2014), which isn't only impressive as a debut time, but it is a top marathon time in general. She probably would have won the london marathon that year had she not dropped her water bottle. Edna and Florence Kilplegat turned on the jets as soon as they saw her drop it, and it was just too hard for her to make up the time. They knew they had to drop her, because they knew they were no match for her track speed, and couldn't have her tailing along going into the last 2-3 miles.
However, I think the sabbatical from running to become a mother has really hurt her athletic ability. She just doesn't look the same since her return to running. I'm a huge fan, and I would never underestimate her, and she is still young. Plus she is still learning to run the marathon, but the way she got destroyed in the RAK half marathon just wasn't a pretty sight. She is very experienced in the half marathon, and she comes from the track, so she shouldn't have been blown away like that.
Hopefully, she'll be back in top form tomorrow.....
