44 miles doesn't seem like much to me but I'm not a biker. I wonder what happened today. Why don't they use road bikes instead of mountain bikes? Wouldn't it be easier?

Nope, they are back on the road after a break in the church.

They got scared and are now camping out in the middle of nowhere to be hard to reach.
I suppose your posting name should have been a heads up as to where you live.
However I have a question for you.
I have asked before.
How do you know how many are in the RV? New question what are their names?

Apart from you, who really cares, the whole things a sham and the number in the RV and wanting to know their names just adds to it. You and them are a joke.

He is done for the day, only 43.79 miles. I'm not sure of the type of establishment in which they staying. It might be a church.
For the second time today they stopped and the GPS put up"Finished".
The mileage is 636.10, so they went 62.39 miles today.
I wonder if they're going to start up again. They are not stopped in a town, or at a hotel or motel. They are merely pulled over at the side of the road in the middle of nowhere.
Ugh. Well, long story short, I was unable to expose them. I saw them three times over the last two days. Once today and twice yesterday. I drove past them a total of four-five times over a couple hours each time and each time the two yahoos were on the bikes - never running. They look like complete dorks -think little kids riding bikes down he highway. I'm not a biker, but their cadence must have been 200rpm.
I still think they are cheating. But I couldn't get them. It will have to be someone else.
Good try. We will cremate you in honor of Asher Delmott.
They might actually be biking.
It doesn't seem that tough to me. Bike thirty miles, break for lunch and the hottest part of the day, and then do another thirty afterwards. It's hardly superhuman so why wouldn't they just do it honestly? Plus they seem to take breaks every third day or so.
60 miles is not their usual distance. They typically do more like 80-100 miles in a day. And they don't sweat. Except for that one day this week where Kavinoky was soaked all the way through. And Kavinoky has claimed he is running again a month ago.

Cheating at what?

Thanks for checking on them. Since I didn't bother. :-)

From now on it will be a lot tougher for them to cheat, since the east is way more populated. And they can't risk that their nice sponsored vacation get blown up.
Lets see now. They are hiding so no one can find them. Not true. You found them
They were not riding in an RV as claimed they would be!!
What a waste of time and energy. Two non professional riders riding in heat and humidity to bring attention to worthy issues. A holiday I think not.
The haters are so disappointed but there will always be another you scan spew your hatred against.
These guys do not deserve it.
I agree, Darren and Kyle are as clean and honest as Lance Armstrong.
i dont understand the fuss.
they arent running, they're barely even biking.
its just a couple of guys doing unremarkable bike miles at an unremarkable pace while taking random days off whenever they choose. literally anyone without a proper job and no family commitments could do this.
is it even possible to cheat at something that appears to have no set goal, rules or standards?
Today (Wed. 6-14) I was watching the GPS tracking of Darren's ride and recorded some of his splits. Here is a sample 20 mile split with overall duration and mileage :
Duration 55:26:52 miles 596.80
Duration 56:58:25. miles 616.58
That is 19.78 miles in 1:31:33
If my math is correct (it is) that means he averaged 12.96 mph for that nearly 20 mile stretch. That is not too shabby for someone who does not profess to be an endurance athlete, and is riding a mountain bike, and a few weeks ago per his video was told by a doctor that he might need surgery on his leg, and per his video is using some therapy contraption to treat his injury on a daily basis.
For Darren's sake, I hope that this is all on the up and up. I am hoping that someone will be able to ride with him for a day to show and prove to us doubters that he truly is capable of doing that. Until then, I have my doubts. There are too many suspicious brief pauses in the ride before and after populated areas that would be opportune times to hop on and off the bicycle. Pure speculation, but maybe the extra people in the RV are professional riders (like a Lance Armstrong type) who are riding for him, hence the reason they ride totally covered in clothes with a hat and helmet in an effort to hide their identity.
As they enter Tennessee and Kentucky they will encounter a lot more hills so we will see some extreme variables in the mph, and it is unlikely that they will maintain their previous paces. Nonetheless, I remain sceptical.
I don't live anywhere near his route, so I am not in a position to join in the ride.
What a load of bull. You MUST be Darren or one of his cronies.
Are you mad? What the hell is remotely inspiring about a totally faked run/cycle!???
Why would ANYONE find a scam like this inspiring?
If you aren't Darren, can you simply not get your simple brain around the FACT he is NOT DOING THIS TRIP?
He is neither running nor cycling. He is RIDING IN THE RV and cheating.
Why on earth would you think he is really doing this?
Try reading the thread properly. The "hitches" were just invented lies because he found out WE were onto him, so he had to change tack.
