Yep, if Rob were doing a fake LEJOG that thread would be back on the front page. I hope he tries something again :D

Rob announced he was starting running again, but not seen anything else.
The fun thread to keep watching is the Dave Reading thread with his crazy missus Terrie. They scammed a LEJOG and have announced a new scam trip for April!
Darren really must be annoyed this trip gained him nothing.
There is no interest and he knows WE stopped him from faking a RUN across America.
Sad deluded mentally ill freak
So nothing came out of this "Run across America" aaahhmm Bike/ride across America?
No interviews with Oprah or the Today Show?
I hope Darren will write the book: "How I tried to be the face of 50 and all I got was an RV ride"
I will buy it.

He was the new face of 50 with 35 followers, about half of whom were letsrun people who constantly belittled him and doubted every move he made.

Job done! We had the job done as soon as we forced him to abandon running.
No one was ever really going to care about a bike ride.
Now we just need to keep our eye on him planning any more fake runs.
And a sighting of the infamous RV, apparently Kyle is driving it back to the wets coast after Darren's "run"/bike. Scroll through the photos https://www.instagram.com/p/BWtXbBPHD2S/?taken-by=run.across.america
So whos this Wheeler guy? Apparently Kyle didn't get enough running in on the outbound trip so he did 20+ with him?
Is this yet another Brit fraud?

So a massive up yours to the troll who was having a go at Evil Edna saying the RV wouldn't be taken back as was only rented one way

Considering the huge number of Yank cheater scammers that's rich!
Three things with this trolley guy -
Why is there no real time live tracker.
Why is there no GPS data being uploaded each day (if i've missed that do let me know)
Why is he asking for the public to fund him on Gofundme?

Fecking hell. Is there no end to these people?
His GoFundMe page, which is the first thing you see and most prominent thing on his website has collected nearly 2000 pounds.
The actual money he's raised for charity via a more hidden link to Just Giving is ZERO. Thats right, sweet f'all.
Just another person using the 'raising awareness' excuse to fund their own running holiday.
I really dont give a rats arse about the lack of a tracker or gps data or if he's cheating. I'm just sick of people exploiting charities and the running community for their own gain.
not again. wrote:

Started a new thread for this dude
http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=8324394I know nothing. I'm asking questions. Are they legit? Been on LRC enough that I no longer trust anything of this nature. I ask because some dude came through town pushing a baby carriage and all, during the day time, in Memphis in July. WHAT?!?!
This guy has no credibility with me right off the bat. Claiming he did 20+ miles with Gaffney is all i need to think he's lying.

Very good point. Gaffney doesn't look like the type of guy who can bust out 20+ miles on a whim, especially when he's been sitting in an RV for three months. It actually looks like he gained weight on the trip.
Maybe we need a new thread. I didn't realize he's been raising money for himself and claiming he's running for charity as well.

New thread? Three posts above this I just posted I have set one up for Wheeler.

No, he's not legit.
He has asked for public donations to fund this yet hasn't raised any charity money yet.
I doubt he's running it all, but even if he is, this is just another scam to get a funded trip, using the "charity" angle.
24 min video - gawd, this guy is BORING.
People asking why he has raised no money for charity at all, yet accepted two grand off the public to fund this holiday.

Sorry, I hadn't refreshed the page and you know how this forum is...you have to work at it to see the latest. I'll take a look, thanks for setting it up!
He claims he knew nothing about the Darren trip being a scam, so I let him know it was, and sent this thread, and told him it was a huge fake trip and that if he wanted to be taken seriously to distance himself from the scammers.
He's not deleted any mention of meeting Kyle and running with him, so I reckon he knows dam well he's a fraud and doesn't care as HE'S one too.
Raised nothing at all for charity until we questioned him why.
