He started his travels today at 9:14 eastern time. Great, now I'll have something to do today. I've already got my running done, so now I can watch Darren all day! It is great being retired.
The other day when he stopped the duration was 123:12:00 and the mileage was 1458.6.
Darren and friends have been stopped for over an hour at a Shell gas station in Elkridge MD at the corner of Washington and Montgomery Roads. The clock is stopped at 125:30:19, and the mileage is 1489.1. In their first 2 hrs 18 min they went 30.5 miles, 13.3 mph average.

Impressive.
I hope he writes a book when he is done.

Out of interest, why are you a fan? You are just a fan from before he started this trip? I'm always baffled why people defend cheats. You do know he's cheating, right? Or do you? You believe he's really riding across America without jumping in the RV? Or you know and just don't care?
I am fans of lots of people but wouldn't defend them if they set off on a trip that was a scam
Why do you think hes cheating? What scam. He is biking look at the videos on the tweets
Have you ever actually read ANY of this thread?
You are either the most fantastic troll ever seen on here or the most incredibly stupid person I have ever encountered. I think the latter actually.

Chapter 13 of the book:
These guys have been stopped at the Shell gas station for over 2 hours so I called to see if they were still there. The call was made at 1:30 eastern time. I talked to MB (he would only give his initials, he had a slight foreign accect, possibly from India). MB said they left over an hour ago. Well, well, it looks like Darren "forgot" to turn on his GPS again.
The Shell station in Elkridge MD phone # is 410-xxx-4789. Look the rest up yourself to verify that it indeed is the Shell station so you know I'm not BSing about the call.
LOL! I bet you Darren will make another video saying, "We are riding, there's nothing fake about that!". Anyone contacted Darren's PR guy for Kyle's tracker GPS files that Darren says is supposedly also tracking them?

I live a few miles from there. It has been a driving rain all day. I bet he is managing to stay dry.

Unless there is a lot of money at stake in future, I don't know how they can be bothered with this scam.
The whole thing is a joke.

You are absolutely right, this is a joke.
They apparently remembered to turn on the GPS, but there is another big hole in the integrity of the data. It is a mystery as to their actual time and distance today.
Now it seems that they lost contact. I could see that happening in the middle of New Mexico or something, but not in a major metropolitan area. If you zoom in on the map they appeared to have lost contact right smack in the middle of an intersection. I hope they didn't get hit by a car, as I want to see how this whole thing turns out.

Nothing to worry about.
They just stepped into the RV and continue the journey. Business as usual for Darren Kavinoky.

Thank you for the update. We hadn't seen you post in a day and were worried.
How long did your mom take away your internet priviledges?
Wow Kavinoky's ratings are not good.

This made me laugh, thanks for your concern. No, my mom did not take away my Internet privileges. If you read my first post of today you'll see that I am retired. I am old enough to be your father. Maybe I am, if you'd like we can call your mom, I just need to hit redial.
Today's travels ended with a "lost contact" status in a town called Aberdeen at the intersection of S. Philadelphia Blvd and W. Bel Air Avenue. The day also included several hours where our heroes "forgot" to turn on the GPS.
Start of day
Duration 123:12:00, mileage 1458.6
End of day (at point of lost contact)
Duration 129:15:52, mileage 1526.0
67.4 miles in 6:03:52, 11.1 mph average
What do those numbers mean? Absolutely nothing. There are too many gaps in the tracking for them to mean anything.
Is 'retired' what you kids call summer vacation now?
You're about as retired as Darren is running across the US.
This epic farce is now into Pennsylvania. Does anyone know if Rossi plans to run (sorry) bike (oops) "ride" with these guys? Would be awesome instagram post for Darren. A great photo with a multi time loser of the year. No need to ask what his win is, he's always a winner.
Didn't Darren say he'd be in NYC today for the launch of his latest TV series? It's going to take a while in the RV at cycling speed.
Nah Philadelphia.
