A la Star Wars...Mr. Skywalker..born from the force. His parents have combined to be the most accomplished couple in distance running to reproduce...almost the equivalent of being born purely out of the force.

Haile be like, "Listen, Nathan will most likely have less chance to succeed in running than his parents if he chooses to become a runner, I'm tellin you.
The only advantage he has over his parents is maybe the 'gene.' Other than that, nothing much.
He's gonna need to work/train extra harder than his parents to succeed like them in running.
If you look at his parents, their daily life was already a HARD WORK.
- they probably grew up running to school like me (running about 10k to school all weekdays).
- also they may not even had shoes (often) growing up, and their feet became stronger like Abebe Bikila's.
- they didnt use car for transportation
- so basically, their daily life itself was a workout for them and they didnt even have to train as much.
They got out of poverty through running. Do you think poverty will affect Nathan at all, having rich parents by:
- always wearing soft shoes all his life
- getting a ride to school and elsewhere?
- being exposed to fastfoods (as opposed to his parents eating all organic and fresh from the farm)?
Consider all that!!"

Who?
So for his parents, like Tirunesh for example, her motivation to succeed in running was not only to follow her cousin, Derartu Tulu's, footsteps but also mainly to get out of poverty, and running's almost the only way to get out of poverty for her.
- this will not be the case for Nathan.
The better question is will he be referred to like our American born high schoolers competing at Footlocker? Or will he get some kind of reference like "Sileshi, with Ethiopian citizenship..."?
