4:27 for the 27th mile.
4:27 for the 27th mile.
Winning time?
Was Bekele's 2:03.03 a fluke? Never to be approached again?
Or is he still combatting injury or whatever?
Karoki my pick gets 3rd looked a bit shagged.
Guys. That was a great race. Holy smokes. I'm not disappointed at all.
Wanjiru is a skeleton
Kipsang and Kipchoge would have eaten these guys alive!
high 2:05?
impressed with the women, but not so much with the guys.
kenny was absolutely surging and within 3-4s but wanjiru went beast mode... great run by both. announcer said 4:27 last mile

No doubt. Until/if Bekele smashes the WR or beats him in a race.
Just hoping we will get to watch a Bekele v Kipchoge battle where both of them have decent buildups and days. That would be a beautiful race for the ages.

Fluke
Damn, he didn't look happy at the finish
Kenenisa has the stamina. Kipchoge has the master preperation, tactics and mental strength.

Fluke
No such thing as a fluke, he ran 2:03:03 because he was capable of it.
I wish I could run with Wanjiru's form- that's pretty smooth

No way. Didn't they also say women's *26th mile was like 4:56? Sounds like a misplaced mile marker.
Bekele gave up! 600m to go and only 5 seconds back, exactly where he should strike, and he didn't do it.
Probably thought Wanjiru wouldn't expect that, which he didn't, but it was a bad tactic.

I honestly put Kipsang slightly ahead of the,,,,or on equal footing.
The only man to run 2:04 or lower 4 times...and there will be a 5 and 6 ..and with just as many marathon wins ..if not more
KIpchoge could have nailed this one without a doubt!

This is Wanjiru's.
Hey NativeSon. Wanjiru and Karoki. What do you make of Mt Kenya boys beating the Rift Valley guys?

Ryan Hall's 2:04 says hi.
