I ve been dealing with light foot problems since beginning of march first thought it was some kind of tendinitis and lessened the mileage then quit for a few days and as it improved did a little more. This weekend after a long bike ride of 2 hours i overdid it. I ran 10 miles the day before but i was not in constant suffering after that yet. Went to the doc again. Tendinitis more likely since it hurt so much after cycling. 10 days off and a shot (that should remove the pain).
Thing is i am still in pain after the shot. This is the first time an injury feels bad. I mean worse then i ever had.
If i am going to start running after 10 days and already have a stressfracture i am just waisting more time and money. I am starting up my own little business now and can use all the money i have.
So i plan on treating it as a stress fracture no matter what the rest says. Hoping it will heal without operation since my symptoms haven't been going on for more then a few months. Walking gives a mild hard to localize pain. During the night i also have some pain (since sunday). Since going in rest mode it is less and i can sleep through it.
People who have had a stress fracture in the foot what where your steps of recovery? How much weeks before you could do some bicycling? How many days - weeks before you could walk painfree. How long until you felt nothing it all. At what point did you start running again?
I plan at least on resting four. But if a lot of you say they didn't do anything til 8 weeks i will hold off for that long. But i don't want to waste money if it is not necessary. My bank account would go below zero if i had to take a couple of mri's and a dozen of docter visits and buy a lot of stuff combined with me investing my money in hardware and the necessary papers for my business.
Please help me out.
