You should watched the Chinese streaming. The best. I turned the sound off and no commercial. And the Chinese Treadmill Guy was funny.

You know it was a Chinese stream not a Japanese stream right?

Referring to Suguru Osako. Plenty of stupid posts from you today, eh?
Dean Karnazes on 3:54 pace.
Wardian goes 2:27. Damn.

I always knew Karnazes was a hobby jogger.

I see the NOP fanboys are in full force today. It's a shame you can't see the obvious or you know it but your too much of a fanboy to admit it
Perhaps on a great day like this for Americans you should return to your hole and be quiet. NOP ran amazing today.
Can we get someone to confirm that Mike Rossi is running the race? I would assume it must be true -- what are the odds of two separate dudes named Mike Rossi, both from PA, running Boston? On the other hand, this dude has a 50-54 age group, and I thought Mike was a little younger than that.
And he knows how to coach running in hot weather. All three were prepared for hot conditions.

Say what you want, but clearly Alberto knows how to coach the marathon after today's performances. Three entrants - three podium finishes!

Any runners wearing jeans ??
You win.
yep. $12K for 6th and $10k for top 40+.
this is not your local turkey trot. double dip is legit
Nothing wrong with being a fan. So am I. I was criticizing the guys who constantly jump in and trash people.

Is there something inferred that I'm missing?
I pull for a lot of different athletes in a lot of different sports.
Where's Rossi?
3:21 finish. Faded a lot the last 10K.
Where did he qualify to get in this race?
And was the $ from Letrun still up for grabs here?

Don't know if it is him but there is a Michael Rossi from PA in the race.

Don't know why the link doesn't work but search for his name and you will see his times.
You guys know it's possible there is more than one Mike Rossi?

So Rupp has an Olympic bronze and a 2nd at Boston. He could retire right now and be one of the best marathoners in US history. These achievements are even more impressive in a day and age when the top westerners are always competing against an army of East Africans bringing with new talent, as compared to the hey days of Shorter, Rodgers, and Alberto.
I don't care much for Rupp, but anybody who thinks differently than the truth I just dropped is either a hater or idiot.
Being one of the best US marathon runners isn't really anything to write home about. Surprised how much these boards are on the Rupp hype train at marathon level.
He's not going to worry any modestly talented Kenyans.

You're kidding right? They missed the break. They didn't update on third place or the Japanese guy who was running third when the break occurred.
Good gawd, maybe you haven't watched a lot of marathon coverage in the past (?) Believe me, there's been much, much worse. The most puke-worthy coverage I've ever seen was the Chicago marathon, which was covered by the local channel. Half the time they spent talking to people on the street and checking the local weather (which didn't change). "Oh, look, there's a dance line of men wearing women's dresses. Let's talk to them for 10 minutes. This is so fun!"
Meanwhile, Bekele was in the men's race and dropped off the pack and they didn't even notice.
Yes, I wish it was better. There's usually personal stories about someone who's running because their canary has cancer or something. People couldn't just be interested in the race, could they?

I assume most people would immediately name Meb as better credentials. But then again UCLA is ALWAYS better than Oregon.
Meb has an Olympic Silver. Rupp has an Olympic Silver and an Olympic Bronze.
Meb has a better marathon PR. Rupp has a better PR at literally every other distance.
Rupp has more American records, NCAA titles, NCAA team titles, Olympic finals appearances, and sits at a higher spot on the all-time world list at his best event than Meb does.
By what possible metric does Meb have better credentials than Rupp? Unless you're talking about the marathon only?
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
I think Letesenbet Gidey might be trying to break 14 this Saturday
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
