Many automobile races shown by NBCSN use a split screen for commercials with the live action taking up about 1/3 the screen. They could do that if they wanted to.

16:02, 15:18, 14:5x for Rupp;s last 3 5ks. Kirui put about 15 sec on him last 5k split.
Rupp might be closing the gap...too little, too late
thanks!

Wow, that is bringing it.
Rupp would have won versus an average performance the final 7k. Kirui with a tremendous close. Rupp probably is maintaining.
Jordan Hasay got emotional on the local broadcast and said this race was her late mother who will always be with her.
Great debut.
Where's the Chinese treadmill guy ? Just tuned in on the Chinese feed, has he blown ?
So....still looking for evidence Rupp is any good at the Marathon.

Wrong. The Formula 1 racing allows for split screen because the ADVERTISERS pay for it, Rolex and Lexus specifically. Yes, they have the technology, but good ol' Jelly Belly would have to pay for that and allow it.
Rupp was not handed nearly enough hats for this marathon.
Will Rupp break 2:10?? Looks like it.
Rupps almost caught him!!!!!

That's just the zoom lens.

Damn rupp is struggling... he clearly does not have 2:06 ability, because a 2:06 guy on a tough course iskillling him.
If rupp can't win Boston, will he be able to actually win a major marathon in his lifetime?...let's face it rupp is a 2:10 guy and that's it.
He's never run an "easy" course. It was hot as hell in LA, hot and humid in Rio and Boston is tough course. You don't know what he can run on fast & flat course with almost ideal weather, which I think it was a little perplexing he didn't run London (other than the $).

Rupp could do so much better if he ran 5x18. I bet AlSal hasn't heard about it yet.

Without looking up names, how many people can you name with better credentials than OT win, Olympic Bronze, and Boston 2nd? Certainly not in the conversation for best in the world, but I would say 'good at the marathon' if asked.
Rupp looks about ready to throw up
According to WBZ Boston his name is Geoffrey Mutai, smh
