More like the entire world outside of North America. An American acquaintance who couldn't believe the fuss once told me the World Cup felt like Super Bowl Sunday extended into a whole month. And he was living in, Kenya, a country that has never even been in it.

I don't think the countries national honor is on the line whenever they race.
People are still crazy about soccer in every country mentioned including India. You can go to some remote Tibetan village and there will still be a kid with an Arsenal jersey.
Fiji and Rugby Union beats most of these if we're counting the percentage of the population that give a toss when their team is playing.
