I personally like Pacific Health Laboratories Endurox R4. If you go to their website, they have some sample packages of their products so you can try it a couple times before making a bigger financial commitment.

Well, I've been drinking recovery drinks before but I feel much better, plus way much shorter recovery period using doxyva to promote microcirculation.

I go to yoga with my wife and make sure to set up behing some 20 something hottie. I also drink a gallon and a half of water everyday. I eat clean. I try to limit myself to no more than 20 beers at a sitting.

I use whey (20 g protein) 2x per day. Once post-run, once before bed. Works fine, although I wonder if it's excessive.
Seriously - what a fun post! For recovery, I prefer Buffalo Trace 90 proof. Also have been enjoying the Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye. Straight - or as a manhattan. They both take all the pain away, and I'm ready for another long run the next day.
why not food instead of drink? Personally I'd go with chocolate milk if available but lots of water and a healthy meal goes a long way and doesn't cost much
