I run between 30-40 miles a week and my weight is in proportion to my height. After my foot started itching and tingling I noticed last week that my big toe was hurting. Went to my doctor and found out I have GOUT.
I thought only overweight, men who drink a lot had gout. Really surprised by the diagnosis.
Changing my diet for good and taking meds until this improves. Any other female runners in mid 40s have gout?
Any suggestions or feedback on home remedies to treat this?
