He looked good. Sat on a rabbit from A&M and won by almost 2 seconds.
Yep, I was there and saw it. Nice night for racing!
Brazier will be the first to run sub 1:40. Mark my words.

We got a badass over here!
An amazing talent. Cheers. Now learn how to race in a crowd.

Agreed! He should watch Murphy's races. I anticipate a great duel between the two this year.

If the field could keep up maybe he'd have a "crowd" to run in.
Do you want him to stop and stand still for two second during the race?
He needs to run more miles and gain more experience in the rounds to do much on the big stage. I expect another year like last year where there is a big time or two but he will struggle at national/world champs

He was standing still at the trials

Im not so sure. He doesn't have the head for it at the moment.
He has great physical skills, but this type effort, some real coaching is involved. I think he should have stayed in school another year.
Yes, and Murphy will surely run 1:38

He won't medal at the next Olympics, never mind break 1:40. Honestly, he's a fantastic talent. And fantastically inconsistent.

In what way is he inconsistent?
He only had one real bad race, and that was at the trials he wasn't even planning on running. He didn't have access to his coach or training facilities, and was burned out because their peak was for NCAAs. Maybe he won't medal and it is unlikely he'll break 1:40 (or that anyone will), but if you could elaborate that'd be great.
Yeah but can he run when it counts?

Perhaps, but I have not seen anything to suggest that level of greatness. There are a ton of 20 year olds who have run 1:44 or better. In fact, there are about a half dozen 18 year olds who have 1:43 or better. The 800 is a young man's game, the top guys usually peak in their early 20s. Lot's of athletes run fast at Brazier's age, and spend a career getting one second faster.

How many 18yo non Africans with legit birth certificates have run "1:43 or better"? C'mon, man. Use your head.

I agree, most of those 18yo Africans where probably much older, which is probably why they didn't progress much beyond their junior performances.
