They had credibility?
hes walking two miles logged
Hard to say what he's doing because he magically jumped ahead 2 miles straight instead of following the road due to them turn the tracker off for 30 minutes. Zero credibility.
Tracker says he's traveling at 4.68 mph. At this speed, he can get record in 7.7 days if he runs non-stop. Maybe meth would enable him to do that.
I think the trackers stuffed it just turned over to 3miles in 59minutes, he can't be going that slow, somethings not right.
Suddenly gone to 4miles 1hr 9min WTF

The tracker is working properly. Dave and company turned it off for 30 minutes and magically jumped forwards 2 miles before turning it back on. The speed in the details tab says 4.49 mph right now which is realistic. I hope they are not driving that slow.
musta been walking and decided to start running.
Those trackers are set to upload data every 5-15 minutes.

Now for some math. For Dave to get the record according to their original plan, I've calculated that he must travel at an average of 4.88 mph for 171 hours over 9 days. This includes allocating 5 hours each day for rest with one 10 hour rest day in the middle like they said they would do. So this means that Dave is currently traveling below record pace already.

Really?
Dave has gone out at 17 minute mile pace right from the start?
Dave has started too fast again!
He is way over his lactate threshold, burning glycogen at an increased rate... and will HIT THE WALL soon.
Where is the nearest IHOP on the course?
They will have syrup for Dave.
IHOP syrup saved Robert Young many times.
I've lost all respect for Neil Featherby. He's made a very dumb post on Dave's Facebook page excusing him of everything and saying everything is "for charity" and that Dave is a hero. Shut up, Neil.
Dave only has 833 miles to go.
What is the weather forecast?
Looks like the media is reporting a "23C heat wave" for the next few days. The British are such wimps.
23C = 73.4F
This is exactly the same extreme temperature as during Paula Radcliffe's World Half-marathon Championship win in 2003 with a massive 21.88% increase in hemoglobin values from 12.8 g/dL to 15.6g/dL in only 2 days from an autologous blood transfusion.
It is just a coincidence.
Shame on you Neil Featherby! For shame! You are worse than Dave Reading.
Neil Featherby
saddened and sickened by it Terrie in many ways. People's names and reputations brought into disrepute. However, by many who prefer to remain nameless!
Paula did not have any collapse at the end of her half-marathon win.
Paula was protected from any episode of orthostatic hypotension leading to possible syncope and flopping around on the ground after the race because Paula had extra blood from the autologous blood transfusion.
That was smart protection for Paula.
Is there a route plan for this online? If he gets as far as central Scotland I'll pedal out to him - wheels on the ground.
I tale it to be the greyed line ://www.followmychallenge.com/live/DaveReading/LEJOG/
As for the "heatwave", yes the UK's obsession with weather that is slightly outside the norm being some kind of natural disaster is quite frankly embarrassing.
