He'd have a "record," be a hero, and would have triumphantly meandered through his victory lap at the 2017 London Marathon (after the Lejog effort, who could expect him to have a winning time?).

Mo Farah. Dave always longed to attach himself to celebrities in order to elevate his own status. Mo was one of the ones from whom he so desperately desired acknowledgement.

Imagine this alternate universe. I bet the falsified running credentials Dave strove for would have gotten him his personal meeting with Mo Farah (not just a photo while running in the background). And now with Mo's star shining brighter than ever, you can bet social media would be full of reposts of that time that one hero met another.

Oh, Dave. Your star rose as high as it could. Now your dreams are dashed, your schemes unwound, and your plans thwarted. What is left is nothing more than thoughts of what could have been.

Dave Shingler has passed on, financial fraud behind him.

Dave Reading has crashed to earth, running scam behind him.

Charities in general have a life cycle where they go from charity to a business then to a scam. They don't die off quickly enough. WWP's former CEO also started an "anti defamation league" for NFP CEO's who were making serious cash because they were getting blamed and insulted.

Very, very sad, living in a small village with their reputation is bad enough, I know someone who lives there and they say parodying themselves makes it ten times worse when it comes to piss taking amongst everyone.

cause lets be honest, outside of LR only a handful of people know about the Readings and only a handful of those care.
