Bumping, please.
Not gonna happen. I can't get a pair yet and neither can you.
Lol. This thread is funny. Nikeman, I know you think you're important, but plenty of elites already have these shoes and would sell them black market to some random guy via interweb. Heck, plenty of sub-elites around beaverton have these shoes.
Correction. Very few elites have these shoes. Outside of maybe a few 'sub-elites' who work at Nike with the department that developed them there is no one running around Beaverton, or anywhere else, with these shoes on. At the moment I'm pretty sure a guy like Ciaran O'Lionaird can't get his hands on them so the odds of some random dude being contacted by a seller are just about zero.

define "plenty" as I think it's fewer than ten. And I'd bet they all have some kind of confidentiality agreement for unreleased shoes they're using. I'd also bet Nike takes back those used shoes to check wear patterns and what not.
anyway, good luck finding them. seem like fast shoes, though still no match to Adidas
Well, I'd really appreciate if one of those elites or sub-elites would contact me. I know there's someone out there with a pair of pre-release or prototypes in size 10. It would be a win-win situation.
Nikeman's self importance aside, guaranteed that at least one person on the "Nike development team" loses their experimental shoes during boston weekend. Those lost shoes miraculously find their way to a Chinese factory to be reverse engineered. Non-disclosure doesn't mean squat these days.
Not much help but I thought I might post something interesting. I could be wrong but the name of the prototype version of the Vaporfly 4% is the Mayfly. If you look at Suguru Osako's instagram he has a picture of them from last December.
I appreciate the bump. Hoping that someone sees this thread.
Honestly it would probably be easier if you were a wear tester (Might be a little too late to get the vaporfly 4%'s as a wear tester), there were a couple of them on another thread and said they were some crazy shoes. I doubt any pro's would give/sell them to you because it might jeopardize their contract with Nike, but it might not even fit your feet even with a size 10 because it's probably customized to their foot. Some video on youtube said it might be useless if they weren't customized to the athlete's foot so there's a high possibility it's customized to their foot (at least the pro's that have them right now)
It's probably better just to wait. If you're in the PNW you're best bet to try them on before they're released in June would be to come to the Pre classic meet. Nike usually has a big booth to show off their new products and the vaporfly 4%'s are a possibility. Usually they show the zoom air running shoes and the 4%'s are technically zoom so you could probably try them on there. But you probably can't buy them at the meet either.
Would just be 2 weeks to release from Pre anyway. I see Pat Casey wearing some public release versions on Mead's IG today...

Nikeman what are you racing in for Boston? Streak 6, Flyknit Streak 6, Speed Rival 6, or Zoom Elite 9?
That is very true, but if you're one of those guys like me that get excited about seeing something before it's released even if it's a day before I'd totally go even without a guarantee it's there because the meet itself is awesome by itself. The booth was non-existent last year but that was probably because of the trials booth.
I wonder if these shoes help in road races like a mile or 5K's or training because I don't see why Nike would want to give them to Pat Casey other than for marketing reasons and because he's a pro with a Nike contract (he's not a marathoner and spikes are better on the track and there's no need for him to be running fast in training, he just needs to be hitting the times coach Row gives for him in training shoes). But maybe it is marketing, does anyone have an opinion about this?
I'll be wearing the Zoom Speed Rival 6 at Boston. I love the Streak 6 for anything up to a half, but I worry that it might not be enough shoe for this old man.

Nice. I saw these just released. What are your thoughts on the shoe? I love the Elite 9 and like the Flyknit Streak 6. Thinking these may be a good shoe to wear a few days a week.
Give it up dude. You're never going to get your hands on the 4%'s. Just be content with the options to be released in a few months.

Nikeman, what do you think about the new pegasus model? Is this just a facelift on the old pegasus or a major update? The changes to the Zoom Elite have made it not substantial enough for daily training and I'm wondering if the Pegasus has been trimmed down as well, making it a valid replacement for the old elites.

You took the time out to put a post that does nothing more than shoe what a negative d1ckhead you are? Congrats. You've probably got a long and miserable life ahead if you don't change. There was an older gentleman on the track in Littleton over the weekend wearing them. Good luck on your quest man!
OP just curious but did anyone email you about the shoes? Not including all the spam mails you may have received
