Im not runnin competively anymore due to my college not having track and XC. I trained a little bit last summer and ran 5:02 in the mile on my own ( back in hs I ran 4:45, could of been a lot faster if never injured with stress fracture prior year), 11:22 in 2 mile and 17:56 for 5k. I got very sick back in january and didnt get well until the end of february. I really want to join this University in the next couple years but I keep getting knocked down. I just ran a mile a week ago and ran 5:23 without 2 months of training. What can I do? The college I want to go to is D3 and my friend goes there and all of the guys are in 4:20-4:30 shape. I stilll have a couple years. What can I do since Im on my own rn? How to stay motivated!?
