Do they still make that shoe? There was a big craze for running in it something like 10+ years ago.

Good call. For those of us on Dyestat, circa 2003-2005, the H-Street were a much-desired/debated "minimalist" shoe.
I had Nike Waffle Racers and Asics Onitsuka tigers that I trained a little in during those years. Never quite gave in to the minimalist ethic. Mid-2000's Air Structure Triax and Pegasus were too good!

Actually about 15 years ago.

its a great shoe. id rotate between it and cushioned trainers or use it for trail, could be used for a 5k race. but dont break that bank on a shoe for the name, ive seen them go for close to 100 and theres not much shoe to it to be worth that, its just a track spike without the spikes and just enough material to be durable. surely you could find something else that fits the bill.
I had a pair that I didn't like much. The outsole was hard, so it made tapping sounds on hard surfaces. The sole was also slick. I also don't like shoes where the soles are narrow in the middle, with the area under the arch cut away, at least for training.

It took a few years to become big.
I had (still have) a few pair. I enjoyed running in them for some of my runs and raced 1/2 marathons in them.
The remake of the shoe that came out maybe 5 yrs ago used a really soft Ortholite insole that made them really comfy. I still have a sack of originals too. They fit like a glove. Nike Streak LTs are about the closest modern version I’ve found.
Anton Krupicka logged several 200 mile weeks and a couple 30 and 40 milers in nothing but H Streets
I have a bunch of Saucony Carrera closeouts that are even more minimal and I love for track and trails, and yes even pavement. Very durable for a "near-nothing" shoe.

Are you familiar with the Kilkenny and if so how do the models compare?
Never wore the Kilkenny. Carreras are essentially a durable spike with little plastic nubs instead of spikes.
