What is going on over at Nike Trail? They lost Tim Tollefson to Hoka earlier in the year and now Zach Miller???
Per Miller's instagram:
"Three years ago one company took a chance on this moment right here. For all they knew this ragtag "cruise ship kid" from Lancaster, PA was a one hit wonder. That leap of faith turned into three of the best years of my life. Hands down. As I prepare to move on (big announcement to come), I want to extend a HUGE thank-you to the folks at NIKE for all of their wonderful support over the past three years. They blessed me with the opportunity to travel the world, tackle some of the toughest races around, and have an absolute blast with one of the raddest teams out there. It has been a very difficult decision, for I loved where I was at, but I'm thankful for what was and excited for what is to come! It is my hope that the spirit of NIKE Trail will not die, but forever live within me. In the words of @ryanghelfi , may we always "shred the gnar".
For the past couple of years it seems Nike has been treating the team as a hobby. The team has not really been promoted, the brand itself has not really been promoted. There has been zero interest from Nike to do anything with the athletes themselves.
