I'm looking for shoes similar to NB's Minimus 10v4 Trail shoe, but with a bit more padding/cushion.
The upper on the Minimus 10v4 Trail is perfect--great breathability, extremely durable, highly flexible. The shape of the last and upper are also perfect and very roomy, giving the forefoot and toes enough space to be pain-free and essentially feel like I'm not wearing shoes.
BUT the sole lacks cushioning, so on long walks the balls of my feet begin to die and the joints feel stiff and very achy. I definitely cannot jog in them for the same reason. I have a pair of Asics Gel Nimbus 17, and they're plush enough for jogging, but the drop is insane, the heel is too big, they push my toes together and make my joints sore, and they're not flexible enough. I'm not looking for THAT much padding, something more minimal, but not as minimal as the 10v4 Trail.
So I'm hoping someone might have an idea of a road-running shoe that's extremely similar shape- and flex-wise, but that has a bit more padding in the sole.
Any suggestions?
