My 800 meter times have been getting worse the last month. My coach noticed during my last race that my upper body looked bigger. I told him I have been lifting more and weigh 10 more pounds than my race weight last year at this time. He said we need to alter my lifting so i won't be as bulky on my upper body. What are peoples thoughts on this? I don't lift heavy weights and we mostly do low weight and high repetitions. What should I do?
