What workouts/week did you run to break 2:00 in the 800m race?
This season, I have run:
400m 55
800m 2:07
1600m 4:33

Looking at those PRs, the 800 is not your event. What's your 3200m time?
The best way for you to break 2 is to improve your 400 by 1-2s.
The 400m time is from a relay split, I have never raced it as an event before. I haven't run the 3200 yet, but my 3 mile from xc is ~ 16:07. I am a sophomore in hs and I have not done many races other than the 1600m. anyway, I believe I can get my 400m to 53, if not 52 seconds if I were to train for it.
Your mile and 5k times are way better than your sprint times. Your 800m is ass. Stick to distance.

The kid my be a high school sophomore. Many high school sophomores with that time as a sophomore improve to well below 2:00.
And why shouldn't he improve his sprint times? See the 5x60m thread.
