Hey there. So I was diagnosed with mild inflammation of the retrocalcaneal bursa and was told to wear a walking boot for about 25 days. Now the boot is off and the back part of my ankle (the Achilles and calcaneus (heel) area) still feels a bit stiff and foot feels weak, which I guess makes sense. While I was wearing the boot, I also did my exercises. I am just wondering about a routine for going back to running. I was putting on 60-80 miles a week about five months ago when this all started. I kept running with this problem but decreased mileage considerably (10-20 miles a week) until the doc finally figured out what was wrong, and then the boot happened.
Thanks!
