KP Kelly will be pacing the 4:40 Marathon. He is also the brother of Kara, the pace team coordinator and helps facilitate the pace teams.
The giant bald bearded pacer, at 6'7'' 270lbs, you won't miss him out on the course. He is a Social Media Consultant that splits time between Daytona Beach Shores, Florida and Columbus, OH.
KP has run over 300 Marathon and Ultra Marathons and this is his 20th year at the Cleveland Marathon.
He is a 2-time Boston Marathon finisher, with a marathon pr of 3:02 and half pr of 1:21.
He is currently focusing on training to compete in 100 mile races and loves running marathons as training runs and to have fun hanging out with the running community.
KP's advice to first time marathon runners, and all runners: "Just keep going. We are all capable of far more than we give ourselves credit for.
Don't over think it, just get to the start then put one foot in front of the other and just keep going.
Don't give up, especially on yourself. Adversity will hit, but you will finish the race before you."
