1200: Makhloufi is the best choice in my mind. In fact if the 1200 was an event I think he'd be relatively better at it than either the 800 or the 1500. 2:44 mid to 2:45 low
400: Van Niekerk. No debate. 42.7 split
800: Rudisha is still dominant. I would pick him for the 800 leg but I could also see people choose Makhloufi in the 800 and put someone like Kiprop or Kipketer in the 1200. Clayton Murphy would also be a good choice. I put rudisha in as 1:41 mid to 1:41 high.
1600: this is the most up in the air in my opinion. I like Kiprop, but I think his time has come and gone. I'm going with Manangoi as he has set all his pr's in the past 2 years or so, and I think he will really perform this year. 3:46 high.
All together, that works out to about 8:54-8:56. I'd love to hear other people's choices and takes on this.
