Anyone watch it yet? Is the hype real?
I was a huge Chappelle fan back in the day. Hope he still has it!

The first one you can tell he's a little rusty. But the second one he seems a lot looser and comfortable and I think is much better.
That being said, they're both pretty great.
Hopefully I will get around to watching it in the next few days. I've seen some positive reviews so far but I'm trying not to over-hype it in my mind.
I think Netflix would be a great platform for him to bring his old show back. Watching The Chapelle Show with no censorship would be awesome.
Bump anyone seen it?

Maybe I missed something. Is this a new series? I thought it was just a single show.
They're good.
And he does them in Chappelle style. sets up the jokes nicely.
He talks about Cosby raping 54 women as well as the good things about him and the four times he met OJ Simpson.
He talks about his son wanting to see Kevin Hart and how much Hart's tickets cost (compared to his).

I think it's just a 3-part stand-up series from what I've read so far.
Looking forward to this one. Watched 3/4 of the Amy Schumer one before my lady turned it off out of boredom. Her most funny jokes were the ones that referenced real life or pop culture and gave you a break from the constant rambling about her bedroom life, but those jokes were all one-offs inserted into the overall theme about being a liberated woman.
I'm confident I'll enjoy Chappelle more, but overall I have a hard time liking most comedians as they age. They end up talking even more about their own lives than they did before. I like it when they are young and think nobody gives a sh-- who they are and they have something to prove with the raw comedy.
Saw Kevin Hart a year ago live and while he was funny his act had become so much about he and his family that you basically felt like you were just paying money to be in the presence of fame and not to actually be amused.

Hopefully get to watch this weekend. But really looking forward to watching the new Jim Norton stand up that they just put on.
I started watching it without wife, thinking she wouldn't have interest. She came in 40 minutes into it and watched the rest of first show, laughing hysterically.
It was pretty good stand-up. Went back and watched first 35 minutes with wife. Very Chappelle. Quite funny. Wished he didn't flake out 10 years ago. That show was awesome. This stand-up is good stuff.
Watched both. if you like Chappelle's tendency to gleefully dive off the edge, you'll like them. Both have some very uncomfortable moments, but that's also what you came for. I laughed out loud my fair share.
I just saw the first one now. He has some jokes that don't land for sure. He gets into every imaginable tough subject but pulls it off 80% of the time. He is funny still.
I was a big fan of Dave and thought both of these were ok at best. I actually turned off the second one out of boredom.
Watched the first one. It was okay. His older stand ups were far superior. Hoping the guy above is correct that his second one is better.
