How do I use the course function?
I run, see the activity after I download and the course field is blank. How do I make that into a course?
FAQ on Garmin connect doesn't help.
Anyone know the answer?
thanks in advance

Do you really need a course map? Use strava for that. Best option is to ditch the garmin and run on the track with a stopwatch for workouts, and use that same watch to run 45 to 90 min out and back easy/recovery/long run days. You're welcome!

It maps it just fine. The reason I want to label the course field is to easily sort and compare times, heart rate, etc on the same course. It's not life or death, but it seems the functionality is there and I'd like to use it.
When you have the activity opened on the full page, click the gear icon at the very top right of the white section (more...). That let's you save the mapped activity as a course.

thanks. I just tried this and it asks me about shoes, bike, etc. What does that have to do with the course? Doesn't seem to work.
We're seeing different things. Not sure why. When I click the gear icon a menu pops up with:
Compare
Send To Device
Save as Course
Set as PR
______________
Export Original
Export to TCX
Export to GPX
Export to Google Earth
Export Splits to CSV
