I don't know where to begin... ...is that a gas tank?
I am confident I'd hear him call out 'on your left' to me before too long
This picture just kept getting better the closer I looked at it.
Nothing like a $1000 front wheel on a $50 30 year old frame being ridden by what appears to be an old man with breasts.
I think that's a 2009 vintage zipp 808 likely tubular up front, not much more than $2-300 on CL these days, probably w/sewed on tire with low mileage ready to go
4/10
Was going to give you 3, but you get an extra point for spelling triathlon wrong.

single speed! This is a beautiful rig.
best thing I've seen all week...
bonus points for leaving the running number flapping in the wind.

The bike number has the "Ford" logo on it. Ford hasn't sponsored an Ironman since 2011, so you have to go by 2009, 2010, or 2011 prices.
What is in his shirt??
His name is Cory Joulk and this is from 2009. The guy has done a ton of ironman's, and he does crazy things just to be the first person to try it. So, this was actually a fixed gear (which is nuts) that he purposely road to try to be the first person to ride a fixie for the ironman Hawaii course. Apparently he got some downhill cadence of 300. Anyway, he did it and finished the race. Crazy dude.
Did a little bit of internet sleuthing. This picture appears to be from Kona. I ruled out the 2009, 2010, and 2011 Kona finishers with number 535. However, the 2008 finisher was a 51 year old woman named "Carey Lindenbaum." 31 of 37 in her age group of women 50 to 54.
I found this picture of Carey Lindenbaum, the resemblance looks pretty close to the OP's picture. The chin, skin tone, upper teeth, and nose all seem to match:

If this is the same person, she was a lawyer, so presumably intelligent enough to understand the risks of steroids. Carey Lindenbaum died a year after Kona in 2009, at age 52. While we can mock her for this, perhaps it isn't funny when it seems likely to have been a factor in an early death. The obit had no cause of death.

Whoa, looks like you're right and I was wrong about the lady from 2008.
Now I'm really confused by the apparent breasts. I guess he must have had his shirt open and the wind blew it up just right.
No - it's William "Cory" Joulk.
Check out his 1996 ride if you think that was nuts
Sorry, you got another reply in ahead of me. Was replying to your first post.
I think he wanted to be to the first transgender triathlete to finish ironman Kona on a fixed gear. Also, maybe a chance this guy is Paolo or knows him?
No boobs. But maybe he shifted his massive deltoids onto his chest to be more aerodynamic on the bike?
