Whose time is that 44.57?
I'll say the women 400mh
10k Not enough of these are run anymore.
From most likely to least likely:
Mile
Road 10k
3000m (8:16)
Tie: 800m, 2 mile
5000
1500m
HM
Track 10k
400m
3000m (8:06)
Marathon
Track and Field News says that they believe the 8:06 3k was mistimed and the real record is an 8:16, so I included both.
As people who are more male than female run as 'women', the faster records fall.

Based on what?
5000 - Ayana or Cheriyot
Steeplechase - Jebet again (blatant doper IMO) or Jepkemoi
HM - several women capable of lowering it again
Mile/2 mile - if Dibaba gets back on the Jama juice
If Caster Semenya had any interest in the WR she could have run 1:53 twice already, but she doesn't.
The statistics have been done to predict this, although they're a bit dated and don't include the 3K/5K/10K/HM or non-metric distances. The answer is women's 800m. Mile and 2 mile, being rarely run, are likely weak. Men's 5K/10K performance are considered statistically weak, so maybe the women's are too? Paula'a marathon is the least touchable, either gender.
It says "T&FN thinks the marks made in this meet are flawed and believes the “real†fastest should be listed as 8:16.60i Genzebe Dibaba (Ethiopia) Stockholm, Sweden 2/06/14]"
Didn't look into it so I just kept both marks.
The marathon WR| will fall soon. It's from a clean Westerner, so as soon as a talented altitude-born and altitude-raised and altitude-trained Wonder-African really tries, it's gone.
