I used to be a pretty good 400m runner. 51.2 was my best automatic time. That was when I was a high school senior. I haven't really run seriously since then. Now I am 33 years old. I don't want to run the 400 competitively because it's such a brutal race, but I'm interested in running some 100s and 200s at all-comers meets for kicks. Would it be a realistic expectation to get under 24 seconds in the 200m? I am still in good shape. Haven't gained any weight whatsoever. I recently hand-timed myself in a 100m and did 12.2 seconds without blocks, so I feel like I still have some speed.
