Hi All!
I recently completed the LA marathon this past weekend following Runners World break 3:30 plan. I trained for 16 weeks and have a pretty solid base of running before this. 3 FM and 5 HM in the past few years (PR in the half is 1:45). While I was able to go from a 4:13 marathon time to a 3:42 I was still short of getting my BQ which was my ultimate goal.
My first question is if May is too soon to try again with qualifying and if not what are some ways I can shave 10 minutes off my time.
I think if I was able to cut 30 minutes in 4 months, 10 minutes seems like a realistic goal for me in 2 months.
