How good is 5x500 with 1-2 minutes of recovery as a 1500 pace predictor? Is shorter recovery needed to make it more effective?

About 1 min to 1 min 15 recovery, avg pace per lap + 1 or 2 sec (depending if you "sprint" the end of your intervals... 1min 30 to 2 min is too much recovery.
