Your obsession with Bill Haley is admirable, but the fact is Chuck Berry's body of work is far more impressive than Haley's. Of course Haley died too young, but you still need to separate the person from their art. Berry definitely had his demons, but he produced some great songs under much more difficult

racial challenges than Haley had to deal with. You need to give Berry his artistic acclaim, without unfairly biasing tho with his personal defects.

Chuck Berry is a legend. He influenced the beatles and other bands. They covered a lot of his songs. I originally thought roll over beethoven was theirs, but it's his.

Rock Around The Clock is more of a swing tune than rock.

I met the remaining Comets on a train in Europe. They were on there way to a rock n roll convention / celebration in Liverpool.
