I'd watch out for Sisson, I think she'll have a huge race! Maybe top 5!
Will be too cold for AR. 28 degrees at race time.
Did defar pull out?

It may also be too slick. I was planning on running this race, but just decided to do Shamrock in Virginia Beach instead, after talking to friends in NYC. They said it's a real mess in NYC right now, and the show forecast for Saturday night will make things worse. While the race will definitely happen, they think it will be slippery and not a good race for a PR.
It will be cold and potentially slippery with the snow. However it looks like there will be a very strong 15mph+ North wind which could really let people fly down 7th ave and the west side hwy. Last year the wind was neutral or possibly a bit of a drag.
I think Molly has as much chance to get the AR as Hawkins does the BR...British Record
Hawkins 59:29?

Yes

It's not slippery now.
I'll take my chances on the footing at NYC Half vs. running exposed along the coast at Shamrock with 15-20mph winds
The temperature should stay above freezing plus they normally do a great job keeping the Central Park loop extremely salted and clear. Should be ok unless we get more snow than is predicted or the timing of the storm changes

Yup - that was the same debate I was having. And Shamrock WILL be windy.
I went back and forth. In the end, I just relied on the advice of my friends who are currently up there. And I guess I could always change my mind again.
More importantly, will outsiderunner get his 1:28?

You may be right. they just upped the forecast to 3-5", which could definitely be an issue (especially with it forecast to keep snowing through Saturday night)
Not sure Sir Mo would appreciate his British Record being completely ignored by LRC.
Rupp will win AR 59:14

Ha! That was my first thought, as well. I'm hoping 1:26 or better.

You are far more optimistic than me.
To all those driving in: Watch out for African American Frozen Precipitation!
Snow forecast pushed back in Sunday morning. Might be a bit of a mess tomorrow with the 7:30am start time.
